The White House
Heath Road, West Farleigh, Kent. ME15 0QN
| Cup: | Meadow 2 | 2 (41) | v | 2 (34) | Tovil Tornadoes |
| Plate: | Hartley Eagles | 1 (41) | v | 3 (43) | Lordswood Lightning |
Both matches were still in doubt until the last ball was played.
Cup: Meadow 2 having taken a half time lead of just 6 points were able to maintain that differential winning by just 7 points in a 2-2 result.
Plate: Lordswood trailed by 5 points at the half way point, and having won the third game were still not in a position to win on points. They pointed their last ball in and Hartley had one final ball to shoot for a carreau for game and the match. The shot was missed and Lordswood triumphed.
Two excellent finals played in terrible conditions. Congratulations to all the teams and especially to the winners.
Thanks is due to Jan of the White House for providing her excellent facilities for the finals, including the very convenient outside bar and for providing a wonderful spread of food afterwards. Many thanks also to the players of the White House for preparing the terrain and for the excellent work they have undertaken in developing the area making it a joy to play there.
